NEW DELHI: Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla today expressed strong hope that all Members of Parliament would uphold the healthy traditions of democracy through their active participation, ensuring a meaningful and productive Winter Session.
In a social media post marking the commencement of the sixth session of the 18th Lok Sabha, Mr. Birla stated that each parliamentary session serves as a crucial reminder of the members’ duty, restraint, and commitment to public welfare, thereby strengthening the true spirit of public representation.
The Speaker emphasised that Parliament is the highest platform in the country for expressing the nation’s expectations, the people’s aspirations, democratic values, and the collective responsibility of the elected representatives.
