Defence Minister Addresses LBSNAA, Calls for Dedicated Civil Servants to Drive National Development
MUSSOORIE: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh emphasized the crucial roles of youth enthusiasm and women’s power in achieving the goal of a ‘Developed India’ by 2047, while addressing the closing ceremony of the 100th Foundation Course at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) in Mussoorie, Uttarakhand, today.
Singh stated that the pace of development currently set by India makes it essential for the youth to remain highly enthusiastic. He stressed the need for equal participation from every section of society in the development journey.
Highlighting the growing influence of women in nation-building, the Defence Minister projected that by the year 2047, many women in the country would have reached the position of Cabinet Secretary. He said this readiness of India’s women’s power shows there is no position they cannot achieve when given the opportunity.
Singh also spoke to the civil servants, noting that at a time of moral challenges, the nation needs officers who not only declare their intent to bring change but also make continuous efforts to achieve it.
