BJP to Hold Thanksgiving March Tomorrow as NDA Gears Up for Government Formation in Bihar
PATNA: Following the National Democratic Alliance’s (NDA) landslide victory in the Bihar Assembly elections, the process for forming the new government is set to accelerate. Bihar BJP President Dilip Jaiswal has announced that the party’s central leadership will finalize all details regarding the new government’s formation within the next two days.
The NDA secured a stunning majority in the 243-member Assembly, with the coalition crossing the two-thirds majority mark, emphasizing the public’s continued faith in the alliance led by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
Speaking on the formation process, Dr. Jaiswal outlined the immediate steps, Separate Meetings: All constituent parties within the NDA—which include the BJP, Janata Dal (United), Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular), and Rashtriya Lok Morcha—will first hold separate meetings of their respective newly elected legislators. In these meetings, each party will formally choose its leader.
Joint Meeting: This will be followed by a joint meeting of all NDA legislators, where the leader of the entire alliance, who will be the next Chief Minister, will be elected.
Dr. Jaiswal added that the final schedule and detailed logistics related to these crucial meetings will be officially announced by the BJP’s central leadership.
In a gesture of gratitude following the comprehensive mandate, the BJP State President also announced that the party will hold a thanksgiving march tomorrow in all districts across Bihar to express their sincere gratitude to the voters.
