EAM Values UN Secretary-General’s Assessment of Global Order and Regional Hotspots
New York: External Affairs Minister (EAM) Dr. S. Jaishankar today held a meeting with United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres in New York, where they discussed the complexities of the current international landscape and its impact on global cooperation.
In a social media post following the meeting, Dr. Jaishankar stated he highly valued the UN Secretary-General’s “assessment of the current global order and its implications for multilateralism.” The two leaders also exchanged views on significant geopolitical developments and various regional hotspots around the world.
The External Affairs Minister concluded his post by expressing gratitude to Mr. Guterres, thanking him for his “clear and consistent support for India’s growth and development.”
The meeting, which took place at the UN Headquarters, underscores India’s active diplomatic engagement with the world body on matters of global governance, security, and the future of multilateral institutions.
