PM Extends Birthday Wishes and Diwali Thanks to Israeli PM
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today extended his “heartiest congratulations” to H.E. Ms. Sanae Takaichi on her election as the Prime Minister of Japan. The message comes as Ms. Takaichi assumes office, becoming Japan’s first-ever female head of government.
In his message posted on X, Prime Minister Modi underlined the strategic importance of the bilateral relationship, reaffirming India’s commitment to the long-standing ties.
“Heartiest congratulations, Sanae Takaichi, on your election as the Prime Minister of Japan. I look forward to working closely with you to further strengthen the India–Japan Special Strategic and Global Partnership,” Shri Modi wrote.
He further emphasized the regional significance of the cooperation, stating: “Our deepening ties are vital for peace, stability, and prosperity across the Indo-Pacific and beyond.”
The India-Japan Special Strategic and Global Partnership is a key pillar of India’s foreign policy, focusing on security, economic cooperation, and joint efforts to ensure a free and open Indo-Pacific.
In a separate diplomatic post, Prime Minister Modi also conveyed both birthday wishes and gratitude to the Prime Minister of Israel for his recent Diwali greetings, underscoring the enduring friendship between the two nations.
Modi’s post on X said: “Thank you, my dear friend, for your warm Diwali greetings. I also extend my heartiest wishes on your birthday. Wishing you good health and success. May India-Israel Strategic Partnership continue to flourish in the years to come.”
The dual messages on Tuesday reaffirmed the robust nature of India’s strategic partnerships with both Japan and Israel.
