Urge Safe and Eco-Friendly Celebration
New Delhi: President Droupadi Murmu and Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan have extended heartfelt greetings to the nation on the auspicious occasion of Diwali, the Festival of Lights.
In her message, President Murmu highlighted the festival’s profound significance, noting that Diwali symbolizes the timeless “triumph of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, and good over evil.”
The President described the festival as an occasion for joy, self-reflection, and self-improvement, emphasizing its message of mutual affection and brotherhood. She specifically urged all citizens to celebrate Diwali safely, responsibly, and in an environmentally friendly manner. President Murmu concluded her message by praying that the festival brings happiness, peace, and prosperity to all.
Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan echoed the sentiment, stating that Diwali celebrates the victory of goodness over evil and knowledge over ignorance. He offered prayers to Goddess Lakshmi, asking for her blessings of peace, prosperity, and good health upon everyone across the country.
