DR. AMBEDKAR NAGAR, Madhya Pradesh —India’s first-ever tri-service seminar on war, warfare, and warfighting, ‘RAN SAMWAD-2025,’ is set to begin tomorrow at the Army War College. The two-day event will bring together military professionals to share firsthand operational insights and discuss the evolving nature of warfare.
The seminar will feature a plenary address by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on the final day, while Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan will address the gathering on the opening day. A key highlight of the event will be the release of several Joint Doctrines and the Technology Perspective & Capability Roadmap, a significant document that guides the defence industry’s research and development.
Curated by the Headquarters Integrated Defence Staff and the Centre for Joint Warfare Studies, RAN SAMWAD-2025 is designed to move beyond academic discussions. It will focus on practical perspectives from combat soldiers on a range of topics, including information warfare, grey zone threats, and future combat technologies. The event will also see participation from top military leadership from all three services, defence experts, and international security professionals.
Hosted by the Indian Army this year, the seminar is planned to be a rotational event, with the Indian Navy and Indian Air Force taking the lead in subsequent years. It aims to evolve into a prominent forum for addressing global security challenges and strengthening India’s security priorities.(ATP)
