Everyone saw Pakistan getting destroyed in ‘Operation Sindoor’: PM Modi

pm

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said that India currently stands as the model of high growth and low inflation for the world. Addressing an event in New Delhi, Mr Modi highlighted that the 8 percent GDP growth rate during the 2nd Quarter of the current financial year is a reflection of the country’s rising progress. He noted that this is not just a number but a strong macro-economic symbol, indicating India’s position as the growth driver of the global economy.

Talking about India’s position on the global stage, the Prime Minister said that in a world plagued by challenges and uncertainties, the nation stands tall in a league of its own. He added that at a time when people are talking about economic slowdown, India is etching its growth story. He further said that in a world full of trust crises, India stands as a pillar of trust and a bridge builder when the world is fragmenting.

PM Modi further said that for transforming tomorrow, change is firmly rooted in the strong foundation being built today. He mentioned that India’s potential has long been untapped but conventionally underdeveloped sectors like the North-east, villages, tier-2 and 3 cities, women and youth, blue economy and space sector are now realising their full potential. He added that there was a time when reforms in India were largely reactionary, driven either by political interests or mitigating a crisis. But, today, they are being guided by national goals and a clear vision for the country’s future. Mr Modi hailed 2025 as a year of reforms, from Direct Tax System to GST.

The Prime Minister also called out mental slavery and colonial mentality as major barriers in achieving the goals of a Viksit Bharat. He highlighted that no nation can move forward without self-confidence. He added that whether it is Ship Building or Defence Manufacturing, efforts are being made to leave behind the slave mentality and inferiority complex, achieving a new sense of pride.

The Prime Minister noted that trust between the people and the government has now strengthened. He said that earlier, the system was sceptical of its own people, but now the citizen-centric approach has streamlined governance. He called for people’s support and urged them to look at the coming ten years as a clear time frame to free the nation from every trace of this colonial mindset.
