NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing the media ahead of the Parliament’s Winter Session, today asserted that the session is “not just a ritual, but it fuels efforts to take India towards development.”
The Prime Minister highlighted India’s robust economic growth, stating that the nation’s economic rise is reaching “remarkable heights,” providing confidence for its journey towards becoming a developed nation. He affirmed, “India has proven that democracy can deliver.”
Urging all political parties to maintain a constructive environment, Mr. Modi made a pointed appeal, asking that the session “should not become a battleground for frustration born out of defeat, nor should it turn into an arena for arrogance born out of victory.”
He stressed that while negativity may have some utility in politics, nation-building fundamentally requires a positive mindset. The Prime Minister also requested members to create opportunities for the new generation of young Members of Parliament to contribute to the proceedings.
