India and Russia Set to Bolster Strategic Partnership During Putin’s Two-Day State Visit
NEW DELHI: Russian President Vladimir Putin is scheduled to arrive in India next month for a two-day State visit, commencing on the 4th, for the 23rd India-Russia Annual Summit. The visit comes at the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The External Affairs Ministry confirmed that the Russian President will engage in discussions with Prime Minister Modi during his stay. Additionally, President Droupadi Murmu will host a State banquet in Mr. Putin’s honor.
This crucial State Visit is expected to provide a platform for the leadership of both nations to thoroughly review the progress made in bilateral relations. Furthermore, the leaders will utilize the opportunity to define the future trajectory for strengthening the “Special and Privileged Strategic Partnership” between India and Russia. The summit agenda will also include an exchange of perspectives on pressing regional and global issues of mutual interest.
