Defence Minister Unveils New AI, Military Climatology Tools to Make Forces Future-Ready

NEW DELHI: Addressing the Chanakya Defence Dialogue in New Delhi today, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh firmly stated that while India remains committed to peace and dialogue, it will “not compromise” on its sovereignty and the security of its citizens. He lauded the “blend of restraint and firmness” displayed by the Indian Armed Forces in managing neighborhood challenges and contributing to regional stability.
The Minister highlighted the government’s sustained efforts to make the forces future-ready, including strengthening border and maritime infrastructure for both security and connectivity. He stressed the modernization of the forces through new platforms, technologies, and structures.
Mr. Singh affirmed India’s growing global stature, noting that countries across the Indo-Pacific and the Global South view it as a reliable partner. He attributed this to India’s economic growth, technological capabilities, and principled foreign policy, which have established the country as a “voice of balance and responsibility.”

During the event, the Defence Minister launched key digital and green initiatives, including the Green Initiative 2.0 brochure. He also unveiled EKAM AI, a unified AI platform for the military, and Prakshepan, described as India’s first Military climatology application, alongside an AI handbook for military leaders. The two-day Dialogue, which was inaugurated by President Droupadi Murmu yesterday, brought together national and international experts to discuss defence reforms and security priorities for ‘Viksit Bharat’ by 2047.
