Faridabad Resident Held for Harbouring Terrorist Before Red Fort Car Bombing
NEW DELHI: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) today arrested a Faridabad resident for allegedly providing logistical support to a terrorist immediately preceding the recent Delhi car bombing.
In a statement, the NIA identified the accused as Soyab from Faridabad, Haryana. He is the seventh prime accused arrested in connection with the attack.
According to the anti-terror agency, investigations revealed that Soyab provided support to terrorist Umar Un Nabi ahead of the November 10 car bombing that occurred outside the Red Fort in the national capital, killing and injuring several people.
The NIA stated that interrogation of the arrested individuals is ongoing as part of efforts to unravel the full terror conspiracy behind the blast. The agency is also working closely with multiple state police forces, conducting searches to identify, track, and arrest additional members of the terror module involved in the gruesome attack.
