India ‘Values Sentiments’ of Seoul and Singapore After Tragic Blast, Says Dr. Jaishankar
NEW DELHI: External Affairs Minister (EAM) Dr. S. Jaishankar today expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Foreign Ministers of South Korea and Singapore for extending their support and solidarity to India following the tragic car blast incident in Delhi on November 10.
The EAM’s appreciation was conveyed through a post on a social media platform, acknowledging the timely gesture of support from the two key East Asian partners.
Dr. Jaishankar specifically named South Korean Foreign Minister Cho Hyun and Foreign Affairs Minister of Singapore Vivian Balakrishnan in his message, highlighting the strong bilateral ties India shares with both nations.
“Expressed gratitude to Foreign Minister Cho Hyun of the Republic of Korea and Foreign Affairs Minister @VivianBala of Singapore for expressing their support and solidarity after the Delhi Blast incident,” Dr. Jaishankar wrote in his social media post. “India values the sentiments of Singapore and South Korea’s gesture of support.”
The expression of solidarity comes in the wake of the devastating car explosion that occurred near the Red Fort in Delhi on Monday evening, which claimed at least nine lives and injured several others, prompting a high-level terrorism investigation by Indian security agencies.
The immediate outpouring of support from foreign governments, including South Korea and Singapore, underscores the deep diplomatic engagement and mutual goodwill shared between India and its partners in the Indo-Pacific region.
