Srinagar: Social Welfare Department (SWD), SANKALP- Hub For Empowerment of Women- Mission Shakti Srinagar, distributed Prosthetic Aid among beneficiaries in collaboration with ALIMCO at Composite Regional Centre (CRC) Bemina Srinagar Saturday.
The programme was organised keeping in view the significance of prosthetic aids for persons with disabilities, as such assistive devices play a vital role in restoring mobility, independence, and dignity. Beyond the immediate physical benefits, prosthetic aids have far-reaching social, psychological, and economic impacts, enabling persons with disabilities to actively participate and reintegrate into society.
On the occasion, prosthetic aids were distributed among 30 beneficiaries.
The event witnessed the presence of District Mission Coordinator from SANKALP-Hub for Empowerment of Women Srinagar, officials from ALMCO along with other staff.
