RAMBAN: The Department of Horticulture Planning and Marketing, Ramban, in line with the directions of the Deputy Commissioner, Mohammad Alyas Khan and under the guidance of Director Horticulture Planning and Marketing J&K, Ghulam Jeelani Zargar, organised a one-day awareness programme at Rajgarh to sensitise farmers, Self Help Groups (SHGs), Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs) and unemployed youth about the agriculture and allied sector government schemes.
The programme focused on flagship schemes including Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP), Jammu & Kashmir Competitive Improvement Project (JKCIP), PMFME and support for grading and packing.
Area Marketing Officer, Tehsin Iqbal Chib briefed participants on scheme benefits, eligibility and application procedures.
Cluster Coordinator Ajay Sharma along with a representative from JKNRLM, highlighted livelihood opportunities for SHGs and FPOs.
