Veer Bal Diwas celebrated at Kulgam

Kulgam: Under Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign, Veer Bal Diwas was celebrated with enthusiasm and patriotic fervour at the Mini Secretariat Auditorium Hall, KulgamFriday.
The event was attended by the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kulgam, Viqar Ahmed Giri along with District Social Welfare Officer, Kulgam, Snober Altaf and other officers were also present.
On the occasion, the Additional Deputy Commissioner delivered a special lecture highlighting the historical significance of Veer Bal Diwas. He emphasized the need for the younger generation to imbibe values of truth, courage, discipline, and service to society, and urged students and youth to play an active role in nation building.
Addressing the gathering, the District Social Welfare Officer highlighted the objectives of Mission Shakti and Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, with emphasis on child rights, girl child education, and women empowerment.
She encouraged students, particularly young girls, to pursue education with confidence and to contribute positively towards social development.
Awareness messages focusing on child welfare, gender equality, and the role of youth in social transformation were also shared during the event.
The celebration of Veer Bal Diwas served as an important platform to inspire children and youth to follow the path of courage, sacrifice, and righteousness, while reaffirming the commitment of the district administration towards the welfare, protection, and empowerment of children and women under Mission Shakti.
The programme witnessed active participation of students, youth, women, and other stakeholders, who attended in large numbers.
