Jaipur Polo Secures Second Win, Defeats Chunda Polo 10-6 to Advance
Jaipur: Polo clinched a decisive victory in the second encounter of the Kota Cup, defeating Chunda Polo with a stylish 10-6 scoreline to secure their spot in the tournament’s final.
The semi-final clash, played at the Rajasthan Polo Club, saw impressive action from both sides, but Jaipur’s consistent attacking prowess ultimately sealed the win. The match began with immediate intensity, as Maharaja Sawai Padmanabh Singh of Jaipur scored the opening goal, establishing an early lead. Jaipur maintained momentum, adding two swift goals, led by Lance Watson, to end the first chukker at 3-1.
The formidable attacking duo of Padmanabh Singh and Watson accounted for all of Jaipur’s goals. Padmanabh Singh led the charge with a stellar six goals, while Watson scored the remaining four, rounding out a dominant performance. Despite Chunda Polo’s contributions, they could not overcome Jaipur’s early and sustained lead.
Jaipur Polo now awaits its challenger for the final, which is scheduled to be played on November 30 at the Rajasthan Polo Club.
