ACR Kupwara, Peerzada Mumtaz Ahmad and Regional Passport Officer (RPO), B.S Rawat were present on the occasion.
The camp has been organized in coordination with the Regional Passport Office (RPO) Srinagar with the objective of providing hassle-free passport application and verification services to residents of Kupwara district. This initiative aims to reduce the burden on applicants who otherwise had to travel long distances for passport-related processes.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC highlighted the administration’s commitment to improving citizen-centric services and bringing governance to people’s doorsteps. He noted that the Passport Seva Camp will particularly benefit students, job seekers, and individuals needing timely passport issuance for travel, education, employment, and other urgent needs.
Regional Passport Officer said that the aim of mobile Passport Seva camp is to reach out to the far flung areas like Kupwara where passport office is not available to facilitate the passport registration of the applicants.
He said all formalities including Biometric and documentation is done at the spot adding that the applicant registered through Passport Mobile Seva does not require to visit the Passport Office physically.
Meanwhile, the applicants from different areas of Kupwara district have expressed their satisfaction over the Mobile Passport Van facility for saving their time and efforts with onspot registration process.
