Kulgam: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan, Wednesday conducted on-spot visits of various Water Supply Schemes (WSS) in the district.
During the visit, the DC reviewed the progress of the Yaripora Water Supply Scheme, being executed under AMRUT 2.0, and instructed the authorities to scale up the pace of work and ensure timely completion of the project.
The DC also assessed the functioning of WSS at Khudwani, Chadder, Qaimoo, and other water supply schemes.
He directed the Jal Shakti Department to ensure safe and uninterrupted drinking water supply to all residents across the district.
Accompanying the DC were Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Viqar Ahmed Gir; ACR Riyaz Ahmad Shah; ACD Bilal Ahmad Kamgar; Executive Engineers R&B Shabir Ahmad Tak and Jal Shakti, Ishtiyaq Ahmad, Tehsildar, Nisar Ahmad, and other concerned officials.
