KULGAM: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan, held a Teachers’ Interaction and Feedback Session under the ongoing ‘Classes of Joy’ initiative, an effort jointly undertaken by the District Administration and the Pratham Foundation, being implemented across all 458 government primary and middle schools in the district.

The session was organized to review the implementation, progress, and learning outcomes of the initiative, and to obtain valuable feedback from teachers and field-level education officers to further strengthen the programme.

During the session, teachers shared their on-ground experiences, observations, and suggestions regarding the Classes of Joy initiative, which aims to create joyful learning environments and enhance student engagement in schools.

The DC chaired the session, emphasizing the importance of effective implementation through TRAL (Teaching at the Right Level) to bridge learning gaps.

He stressed that every classroom should be a space of curiosity, creativity, and joy where children can learn, express, and grow.

He also instructed all concerned to ensure zero learning gaps and to make every classroom child-centered, inclusive, and interactive.

Deliberations included discussions on innovative teaching practices, strategies to promote student participation, and measures to further improve learning outcomes.

The DC lauded the efforts of teachers and field staff in implementing the initiative and encouraged their continued dedication to creating environments where every child can thrive academically and creatively.

The session was attended by officers from the Education Department, teachers, and other key stakeholders involved in the programme.
