Directs for expediting completion to improve traffic flow on bypass corridor
SRINAGAR:- Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Akshay Labroo, today conducted an onsite inspection to review the ongoing construction works on Rs 30 crore (882 meter span) Sanat Nagar Flyover, a key infrastructure project aimed at decongesting traffic on the City’s busy bypass corridor.
During the visit, the DC was accompanied by Chief Planning Officer, Fayaz Ahmad Dar; Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Umar Gulzar; Executive Engineer PC-Ist, Nasir Amin; Executive Engineer PDD, Syed Wani; Tehsildar Chanpora, Kifayat Ali and other concerned.
On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner inspected the pace and quality of work and took stock of the remaining ongoing works being executed on the project.
The DC was informed that over 90 percent of the work on the flyover project has been completed. The approach road from the Chanapora side has been macadamized and made motorable, while work on the Hyderpora side is in its final phase.
Executive Engineer KPDCL apprised the DC that the process of utility shifting has been already completed facilitating the timely completion of the project.
The DC instructed the concerned executing agency to complete the remaining works with accelerated pace to ensure that the flyover is fully made motorable soon.
The DC emphasized that the completion of the project will significantly improve traffic flow, ease congestion, and enhance connectivity along the Chanpora-Sanat Nagar–Hyderpora-bypass corridor and benefit the commuters and local residents alike.

DC Pulwama reviews progress of RDSS
Stresses timely execution of projects
PULWAMA: Deputy Commissioner, Pulwama Dr. Basharat Qayoom today chaired a meeting at Administrative Complex Pulwama to review the progress of the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS) in the district.
During the meeting, the DC reviewed the progress achieved under various components of the RDSS including feeder segregation, augmentation of sub-stations, erection and metering.
A detailed presentation was presented highlighting the physical and financial progress, timelines of ongoing works, and the status of tendered and completed projects across different divisions.
The DC emphasized the importance of expediting all works under RDSS to ensure reliable and quality power supply to consumers. He directed the concerned officers to adhere to stipulated timelines, maintain proper coordination with the executing agencies, monitor daily progress and resolve bottlenecks, if any, on priority.
The DC Directed Project Implementation Agency (PIA ) PGCIL and TKC to prepare an action plan for daily monitoring of execution and submit daily progress report.
The DC further instructed the field staff to ensure public convenience during implementation and to carry out site inspections for monitoring work quality and safety compliance.
Among others, the meeting was attended by Executive Engineer KPDCL Division Pulwama and Awantipora; Executive Engineer, STD, Pulwama, and representatives from Project Implementing Agency, Project Monitoring Agency along with sub-let contractors.
