BANDIPORA: The District Level Committee (DLC) meeting on the implementation of the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP) and Jammu & Kashmir Comprehensive Investment Plan (JKCIP) was held today under the chairpersonship of Deputy Commissioner BandiporaIndu Kanwal Chibat the Chief Agriculture OfficeMini Secretariat Bandipora.
During the meetingthe department headsincluding the Chief Horticulture Officer and Chief Animal Husbandry Officersubmitted 365 cases for considerationwhich were scrutinized for permissibility. After detailed verificationdeliberationsand confirmation as per the prescribed rulesthe committee approved all 365 cases for financial assistance and technical support under different agriculture and allied sectors.
Under the Agriculture sector210 cases under HADP were sanctioned with a focus on seed multiplicationintegrated farming systemsarea expansioncreation of water management systemsand promotion of protected cultivation. Similarly32 cases under JKCIP were approvedpromoting area expansion under vegetables and shallotsand development of water management systems (borewells).
On the occasionthe Deputy Commissioner stressed upon the officers to facilitate beneficiaries and expedite field-level activities to ensure effective implementation and timely achievement of objectives under both HADP and JKCIP.
