SRINAGAR – The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) Srinagarin collaboration with Government Medical College (GMC) Srinagarorganized a joint vigilance awareness programme to promote integritytransparencyand anti-corruption vigilance.

The event brought together prominent officials from both institutionsemphasizing the critical importance of vigilance and anti-corruption measures as a collective responsibility.

The programme was attended by Administrator GMC Srinagar Mohd Ashraf Hakak; Head of Biochemistry DepartmentProf. Dr. Sabiyaand Chairman of the College Anti-Corruption and Surveillance Society (CASS).

Speaking on the occasionProf. Dr. Sabiya emphasized the role of educational institutions in fostering ethical behavior and awareness about corruption.

Speakers from the Anti Corruption Bureauincluding SSP ACB SBGJavid Hassan Bhat; SP ACB SBGShahzada Kabir Matoo and Dy Sp underscored the significance of vigilance and participation in anti-corruption mechanisms.

Financial Advisor of GMChighlighted the need for financial integrity and transparency in public institutions.

A documentary was screened to educate attendees about corruption prevention strategiesthe impact of corruption on societyand the vital role every citizen and institution plays in building a corruption-free environment.

The event reinforced that vigilance is a shared responsibility requiring the involvement of government officialseducational institutionsfinancial advisorslaw enforcement officersand the general public. It aimed to inspire collective action towards fostering accountabilitytransparencyand ethical practices to strengthen governance and public trust.
