SRINAGAR: Chief Secretary, Atal Dulloo, today administered the Integrity Pledge to officers and officials of the Civil Secretariat as part of the observance of National Vigilance Awareness Week (NVAW), 2025.

The nationwide campaign, announced by the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC), is being observed from 27th October to 2nd November 2025, coinciding with the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. This year’s theme, “Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility”, underscores the importance of collective efforts in fostering integrity, transparency, and accountability in public administration.

The observance officially commenced today at 11:00 AM with the administration of the Integrity Pledge by all public servants across government departments, Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), autonomous bodies, and other organizations throughout the country.

By taking the pledge, officers and officials reaffirmed their commitment to uphold ethical standards and promote a corruption-free environment in public service. The week-long activities under the Vigilance Awareness campaign aim to sensitize employees and citizens alike to the significance of honesty and integrity in governance.

As part of the observance, various awareness programmes, workshops, seminars, and debates on ethical governance and preventive vigilance are scheduled to be organized across government departments and public institutions during the week.

These initiatives are intended to encourage proactive participation of all stakeholders in building a culture of transparency and accountability in the administration all over the country.
