REASI: The Municipal Council Reasi today organised the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) – PM Awas Mela (Shehri) here at the Bus Stand, The event was held as part of the Angikaar 2025 Awareness Campaign which aims to generate awareness about the Government of India’s flagship “Housing for All” mission and to guide citizens on the benefits, eligibility and filing of application for availing the benefits.
The mela witnessed enthusiastic participation from the public. Beneficiaries and interested citizens were briefed on the step-by-step procedure for applying the PMAY–Urban scheme, including details on required documentation, eligibility criteria and the process from sanction to construction of houses.
EO Municipal Council Mohammad Ajaz Tantray interacted with the public, emphasizing that the main objective of the mela was to ensure that no eligible family is left without a pucca house. He also highlighted the provision of on-the-spot assistance to facilitate citizen participation.
Information stalls were set up by Municipal Council staff to guide visitors. Awareness material was also distributed among the participants.
