BARAMULLA: Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Minga Sherpa, today chaired a meeting in his office chamber to address land issues arising from the saturation of BSNL 4G mobile towers in the district.
The meeting focused on measures to expedite the installation of BSNL 4G towers and resolve land-related bottlenecks that have delayed network expansion.
The DC directed officers from the Revenue Department and BSNL to conduct a joint field visit to identify and finalize suitable locations for tower installation and submit a detailed report within a week.
He emphasized the need for close coordination between departments to ensure timely execution of projects and to strengthen mobile network connectivity, particularly in uncovered and remote areas.
The DC underlined that the initiative is part of the district administration’s ongoing efforts to enhance digital infrastructure and improve communication facilities for residents in all parts of Baramulla.
The meeting was attended by SDM Uri, Tehsildars of Uri, Boniyar, and Dangiwacha, as well as the Divisional Engineer of BSNL Baramulla and other concerned officers.
