Subsequently, the unit was sealed immediately and prohibited from carrying out further manufacturing activities. A complaint under the relevant provisions of the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006 and Rules & Regulations, 2011will be submitted before the competent court in due course of time.
Commissioner, Food and Drug Administration, Smitha Sethi, has directed all food business operators to strictly comply with the provisions of the Food Safety and Standards Act and maintain proper hygiene and licensing requirements.
