SRINAGAR: In pursuance of the objectives of the Swasth Nari Sashakt Pariwar Abhiyan (SNSPA), a health camp was convened at the Community Health Centre (CHC) Rajpora under the overall supervision of the Block Medical Officer Rajpora.
The programme was inaugurated by the Member Legislative Assembly Rajpora, Ghulam Mohi-ud-din Mir, in presence of the Chief Medical Officer Pulwama, Dr. Tehmeena Jameen.
The camp recorded the participation of approximately 350 beneficiaries, who were extended the benefits of breast and cervical cancer screening, anemia screening, non-communicable disease (NCD) screening, and mental health consultations.
Dedicated counselling sessions were conducted to ensure awareness regarding early detection, preventive healthcare practices, nutritional management, and adoption of healthy lifestyle behaviours.
Further, awareness programmes were organised in respect of various government health schemes, nutrition management, and preventive strategies.
A voluntary blood donation drive was also facilitated as part of the event, underscoring the importance of community participation in augmenting public health resources and safeguard for the community especially during emergencies and shortage.
The dignitaries present commended the Department of Health for their concerted efforts in ensuring the successful conduct of the camp. They highlighted the commitment of the Department towards strengthening preventive healthcare services, empowering women through timely screenings such as breast and cervical cancer, and anemia tests, and promoting community participation through blood donation and awareness activities.
The event concluded with an expression of appreciation to all stakeholders, health officials, and volunteers whose coordinated efforts ensured the successful conduct of the camp in alignment with the mandate of Swasth Nari Sashakt Pariwar Abhiyan.
