B’gam Admin unveils deptt-wise action plan for 17-Day ‘Sewa Parv’ observance
Budgam: District administration Budgam has finalized a comprehensive department-wise action plan for the observance of the 17-day ‘Sewa Parv’ from 17th September to 2nd October 2025, aimed to promote community participation, raise awareness on key welfare initiatives, and ensure saturation of government schemes across all blocks and municipal areas of the district.
The action plan has been prepared by all line departments and includes a wide range of activities to be held daily during the observance period. Departments will undertake awareness campaigns, health and nutrition drives, cleanliness and sanitation programmes, plantation drives, grievance redressal camps, and outreach initiatives to spread the message of ‘Sewa, Samarpan and Sankalp’.
Key highlights of the program include various activities such as ICDS department will organize awareness campaigns on health, hygiene, nutrition, cooking competitions, sanitation drives, and interactive sessions at Anganwadi Centres across the district. Health Department will hold ANC checkups, awareness on safe motherhood, anemia detection, blood donation camps, family planning sessions, and special medical outreach for vulnerable groups.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner’s office will oversee grievance redressal through the JK Samadhan Portal, ensuring timely disposal of public issues. Other departments will carry out tree plantation, digital inclusion programmes, financial literacy drives, and social welfare enrolment campaigns.
The initiative aims to converge efforts of multiple departments to reach citizens at the grassroots level, ensuring awareness, registration, and access to schemes under Poshan Abhiyan, Social Welfare, Health, Education, and Digital Inclusion.
The observance will culminate on 2nd October, Gandhi Jayanti, with a series of district-wide activities symbolizing service to society and tribute to the Father of the Nation.
Sewa Parv-2025: G’bal set to celebrate fortnight of service, awareness, community engagement
As the nation prepares to mark Sewa Parv from September 17 to October 2, district administration Ganderbal has finalized an extensive schedule of activities designed to promote community service, inclusivity, and awareness across the district.
The celebrations will kick-off with a mega Swachhta Drive from the Mini Secretariat on Wednesday. Similar cleanliness campaigns will simultaneously unfold across all panchayats, ensuring that villages and localities actively participate in the movement.
District administration has chalked a holistic calendar of events touching nearly every sector including health, education, social welfare, environment, and digital inclusion.
Healthcare will be in sharp focus, with the Health department conducting blood donation camps, health check-up camps, and screening drives.
School Education, Higher Education, and Central University of Kashmir (CUK) are organizing donation drives to aid the needy, alongside painting competitions, school beautification activities, and textbook and stationery distributions.
Plantation drives are scheduled in schools, Amrit Sarovars, and across panchayats, contributing to greener spaces for future generations.
In line with the government’s vision of a digitally empowered society, the district will also host digital literacy and capacity-building camps to promote digital inclusion and enhance access to online services.
From disaster management awareness programmes to sports activities, the district is striving to involve citizens of all age groups in constructive and engaging ways. Special campaigns will be launched to popularize flagship schemes such as PMJJBY, APY, PMJDY, PMSBY, and Nasha Mukt Abhiyaan, ensuring that benefits reach the grassroots.
‘Seva Parv’ campaign set to begin in B’la with a series of citizen-centric activities
District administration Baramulla is all set to launch the nationwide Seva Parv campaign, scheduled to be celebrated from September 17 to October 2, 2025, with a host of citizen-centric activities designed to strengthen governance and promote social responsibility.
The celebrations in the district will begin from Wednesday with a grand Swachhata Hi Seva event at Gulmarg, to be launched by Javed Ahmad Dar, Minister for Agricultural Production, Rural Development, Panchayati Raj, Cooperatives, and Elections, in the presence of various Members of the Legislative Assembly from Baramulla.
The fortnight-long programme will be observed in every corner of the district and will serve as a collective effort to improve service delivery, create awareness about welfare schemes, and ensure seamless access to essential services.
As part of the campaign, cleanliness drives will be organized simultaneously across all 402 Panchayats and 93 urban wards of Baramulla, accompanied by community plantation drives that will give a strong message of environmental conservation and sustainable living.
To engage the youth and students, School Education department will take up initiatives such as school beautification campaigns and voluntary extra classes, besides holding cultural and creative activities aimed at instilling the values of service, responsibility, and respect for the environment.
Social Welfare department, on the other hand, will reach out to vulnerable sections of society by organizing visits to old-age homes, interacting with senior citizens, and arranging community meals for the underprivileged, thereby reinforcing the theme of inclusivity and compassion.
Health services will also form a critical component of the campaign. Health department has made elaborate arrangements for conducting health check-up camps and blood donation drives in all blocks of the district, alongside awareness sessions on preventive healthcare, sanitation, and nutrition.
Furthermore, the administration will hold extensive awareness campaigns on flagship welfare schemes, including PM-Kisan and Ayushman Bharat – Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana.
These will be complemented by financial literacy camps to familiarize citizens with banking services and digital financial platforms, thus bridging the gap between policy and people.
The celebrations will culminate on October 2, Gandhi Jayanti, with district-wide events that will pay tribute to the Father of the Nation and showcase the impact of the fortnight-long campaign.
Shopian to organize multitude of events to observe ‘Sewa Parv’
As part of the ‘Sewa Parv’ celebration being held from 17th September to 2nd October, 2025, district administration Shopian is organizing a multitude of activities across various sectors to encourage volunteerism, public participation and service-oriented initiatives in the district.
Various departments including health, education, sanitation, environment, and community welfare sectors are conducting various awareness, registration, swachhata, health camps, etc. throughout the fortnight-long programme.
The aim is to promote cleanliness in public spaces, government institutions, government offices, corridors, lawns and surrounding areas, cleaning of markets, bus stands, water bodies, roads and parks and installation of dustbins in key areas for solid waste management, besides raising awareness among students on waste management.
Similarly, Health department has been instructed to organize health & wellness camps to enhance public health awareness, provide public free medical services, free general health check-ups in villages, schools and urban localities. Besides, conduct screening for blood pressure, diabetes, and common ailments, eye check-ups and dental camps, and blood donation drives shall also be held.
Health counseling for mothers, children and the elderly will also be held during the Seva Parv campaign.
In addition, awareness sessions on nutrition, sanitation, hygiene, disease prevention and post-flood precautions besides promotion of government health schemes and vaccination drives shall also be held.
Social Welfare department was directed to organize Information campaigns on women empowerment, education and social security schemes.
Also, the line departments were instructed to promote digital services and grievance redressal platforms, plantation drives in schools, public areas, and degraded lands. They were also asked to launch awareness campaigns on water conservation, waste segregation and energy conservation.
School and Higher Education departments were directed to organize debates, essay writing, painting and poster-making competitions in schools, workshops on skill development, social service and local traditions.
Moreover, distribution of assistive devices, wheelchairs, crutches to differently-abled persons, and awareness programs for elderly care and child welfare, besides setting up help desks for citizens to access government schemes and services will also be facilitated.
District administration has also directed door-to-door campaigns for awareness on sanitation, health and digital literacy, cleaning, plantation and repair of community assets such as schools, roads, parks, public pledge drives for service, cleanliness and volunteerism.
DC Doda reviews preparations for Seva Parv-2025
District Development Commissioner (DDC) Doda Harvinder Singh Tuesday chaired a meeting in the Conference Hall of the DC Office to finalize preparations for the Seva Parv 2025, scheduled from September 17 to October 2, 2025.
The meeting was attended by the district officers, representatives from educational institutions and officials of the line departments.
The DDC highlighted the key objectives of Seva Parv, a nationwide campaign aimed at promoting environment conservation, social service, community participation and awareness about sustainable development. He informed that the fortnight-long campaign will include plantation drives, cleanliness campaigns, water conservation initiatives with active involvement of Panchayati Raj Institutions, urban local bodies, civil society and Educational Institutions.
The DDC reviewed department-wise action plans, directing them to maintain close coordination, ensure timely execution of plantation and sanitation activities with active public participation. The Municipal authorities and Information department were asked to put up hoardings to spread maximum awareness about the campaign. Special focus was also laid on the identification of the sites for plantation and the availability of saplings.
The DDC directed the Chief Education Officer (CEO) to restrict the participation of students outside activities during Seva Parv and focus on completing the syllabus and compensating the loss of studies due to inclement weather. “However, awareness programmes on the listed themes of the campaign shall be conducted during morning assemblies in all schools,” he added.
The Agriculture Department was asked to organize special camps under the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP) to ensure wider coverage of government-sponsored schemes. Similarly, the Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Department was directed to hold awareness camps regarding ration card distribution and related entitlements. The Lead District Manager (LDM) was asked to organize camps across the district to enhance the coverage under different financial and welfare schemes. The line departments were asked to showcase their flagship and sponsored programmes during Seva Parv to maximize public outreach.
A wide range of activities were planned, including health awareness programmes, handwash campaigns, blood donation drives, road safety and pollution control campaigns in collaboration with the Transport Department, cleanliness and sanitation drives across towns and villages, disaster management awareness programmes with mock drills in vulnerable areas, drug abuse prevention and rehabilitation awareness in schools and colleges, plantation drives in all government and private institutions, and sports competitions to engage youth and promote fitness.

DC Rajouri rolls out activity plan for Sewa Parv, 160 locations to host variety of activities
Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Abhishek Sharma Tuesday rolled out the activity plan for the Sewa Parv 2025 campaign in the district. Addressing a press conference, he informed that the campaign will commence on 17th September and culminate on 2nd October 2025.
The Deputy Commissioner emphasized that the campaign aims to spread the spirit of service, community participation, and cleanliness. “Special focus has been laid on Swachhata drives, community plantation drives and hosting of health camps across the district,” he added.
He further informed that 160 locations have been identified for tomorrow’s activities where Government Degree Colleges, schools, Rural Development Department officials, and local communities will participate in plantation drives, Swachhata rallies, and awareness events. The main objective is to ensure active public participation at all levels and spread the message of the campaign.
Listing the inaugural day activities, he said medical camps will be organized at four locations where dieticians and specialists will provide free health check-ups and consultations to the locals. Similarly, financial inclusion camps will also be held at other four locations to create awareness about government schemes and financial services.
The Deputy Commissioner further stated that the government offices across the district will also undertake special cleanliness drives. A variety of activities have been planned till the end of the campaign on October 2, which coincided with the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
He urged the citizens of Rajouri to actively participate in the campaign and contribute towards making the district cleaner, greener, and healthier.
DC Kishtwar finalizes preparations for Sewa Parv 2025
To ensure the effective execution of Sewa Parv activities, scheduled to be observed from 17th September to 2nd October 2025, Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Pankaj Kumar Sharma chaired a meeting with concerned district officers and heads of institutions to discuss the arrangements for the fortnight-long campaign.
The meeting focused on ensuring active public participation, inter-departmental convergence, and comprehensive community outreach, aligning with the spirit of Sewa Parv — a nationwide celebration of selfless service and inclusive development.
As part of the launch of Sewa Parv 2025, a Mega Swachhta drive is scheduled to be held on 17th September 2025 (9:00 AM) at the historic Chowgan Ground.
The drive will witness active participation from officers and staff of all line departments.
During the meeting, the officers briefed the DC on planned activities, including cleanliness drives, community meals for the needy, health check-ups camps, blood donation camps and nutrition awareness campaigns under health initiatives.
The meeting was also informed about the capacity-building workshops being held to promote key government schemes such as PM-KISAN, Ayushman Bharat, and other flagship initiatives. The campaign will also witness a variety of cultural and educational activities — including essay competitions, wall paintings, art and slogan contests, and donation drives for underprivileged students.
The DC directed key departments — including Jal Shakti ICDS, Forest, Education, Technical Education, Higher Education, Rural Development, Health, Municipality, ITI, Information, and Social Welfare — to organise targeted activities to ensure outreach at the grassroots level.

Swachhata Pakhwada 2025 launched in schools across Distt Ramban
In line with the nationwide initiative, the School Education Department Tuesday launched SwachhataPakhwada 2025 in all schools across Ramban district. The fortnight-long campaign, starting from Tuesday, will continue till September 30, 2025.
The objective of Swachhata Pakhwada-2025 is to promote among children a culture of cleanliness, hygiene and a sense of responsibility towards the environment.
The district-wide programme commenced with a Swachhata Pledge, administered simultaneously across the schools.
The inaugural day witnessed enthusiastic participation from 800 schools, with more than 47,630 students and 3,000 teachers actively taking part in the inaugural event. The activities chalked out for the campaign include cleanliness drives in and around school premises, promoting hand-washing and hygiene awareness among students and community members, besides hosting painting, essay and quiz competitions on the theme of cleanliness and waste management.
The campaign also envisages Community participation to encourage active participation of parents, panchayats and other stakeholders in maintaining hygiene and sanitation standards.
Meanwhile, the Chief Education Officer has appealed to all educational institutions to organise innovative activities during the fortnight to make the campaign more impactful and result orientated.
DC Reasi finalises arrangements for Sewa Parv 2025
Deputy Commissioner Reasi Nidhi Malik Tuesday finalised the arrangements for Sewa Parv 2025, which will begin tomorrow and continue till October 2, 2025.
Chairing a meeting of district and sectoral officers, the DC informed that the Parv will be formally launched at the District Headquarters, and simultaneously from all Sub-Division Headquarters under the supervision of the respective SDMs. She directed the SDMs to ensure that all planned activities are carried out as per the approved schedule and in a well-coordinated manner.
Detailed deliberations were held on the cumulative district plan as well as the department-wise programmes and Roaster. The DC emphasised that each department must follow the daily activity roster to ensure smooth and effective implementation of the initiatives.
The Social Welfare Department was tasked with intensifying awareness about Nasha Mukt Abhiyan and other welfare schemes, while CSC officials were directed to organise digital literacy and cyber security camps at their centres.
Similarly, the Agro and Allied Departments will reach out to every Panchayat to sensitise farmers about the government schemes and opportunities. Banks were directed to organise awareness camps on financial inclusion schemes.
The DC said that Special emphasis will be laid on cleanliness drives, disaster management awareness, promotion of Nasha Mukt Bharat campaign, social and financial inclusion schemes and Mission Yuva to encourage entrepreneurship and skill development among college students and the youth.
The DC further stressed on making the Sewa Parv a genuine and participatory event with active involvement of people and volunteers. She urged all departments to maintain close coordination and work in synergy to ensure the successful execution of Sewa Parv 2025 across the district.

A host of activities are scheduled to be held as part of government’s signature ‘Sewa Parv’ campaign from September 17 to October 2, 2025 at Kulgam, to promote the spirit of service, volunteerism, and community participation in Kulgam district.
The ‘Sewa Parv’ celebrations will feature a number of activities across the district, including cleanliness drives, plantation campaigns, awareness programmes, health check-up camps, blood donation camps, cultural events, and outreach initiatives etc.
Special focus will also be laid on ensuring wider dissemination of government welfare schemes and encouraging citizen engagement in developmental and welfare activities.
All departments, institutions, and local bodies will organize programmes under the theme of ‘Public Service and Community Empowerment,’ ensuring active involvement of students, youth clubs, women’s groups, and civil society organizations.
The observance will also highlight the importance of collective responsibility in achieving sustainable development and inclusive growth.

Distt Admin B’pora gears up for ‘Sewa Parv’
As part of the Union Territory–level celebrations of Sewa Parv scheduled from 17th September to 2nd October 2025, district administration Bandipora is set to organize a wide range of activities to promote community service, public participation, and social responsibility across the district.
The observance of Sewa Parv will revolve around key themes of cleanliness, education, health, capacity building, cultural awareness, and social welfare.
District administration Bandipora has drawn up a comprehensive calendar of activities, including cleanliness drives in public spaces, community tree plantation, awareness on waste segregation, and campaigns against single-use plastic. In addition, donation drives for underprivileged students, school beautification campaigns, and volunteering initiatives will be taken up under education-focused activities.
Special attention will be given to engagement with elderly and vulnerable groups through visits to old age homes, orphanages, and provision of assistive devices such as wheelchairs and hearing aids. The programme also includes health check-up camps, blood donation drives in coordination with hospitals and NGOs, and nutrition sessions under Poshan Abhiyan.
Awareness and capacity-building workshops will be held on government schemes (PM Kisan, Ayushman Bharat, Jan Dhan Yojana), organic farming, digital literacy, and welfare schemes application support. Cultural activities such as wall painting, essay, and slogan competitions on themes like ‘Spirit of Sewa’ will also form a key highlight of the celebrations.
Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Indu Kanwal Chib, has directed all departments to ensure active participation and convergence so that the initiative reaches every section of society. She called upon officers, PRIs, civil society members and volunteers to make the event a grand success and ensure maximum public participation.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Jatin Kishore, Tuesday chaired a meeting of concerned officers to finalize the schedule of activities for the upcoming ‘Sewa Parv,’ a nationwide initiative to be celebrated from September 17 to October 02, 2025.
During the meeting, DC conducted a detailed review of the activities to be undertaken by various departments throughout the fortnight-long programme.
It was informed that the celebrations will commence with mega Swachhta drives from the Mini Secretariat and across all panchayats of the district.
Emphasizing mass participation, DC directed that mega events of each activity be organized daily during the Seva Parv to ensure greater public involvement.
The meeting also finalized schedules for mega grievance redressal camps, donation drives to be organized by the School Education, Higher Education, and Central University of Kashmir (CUK) in aid of the needy.
Venues for blood donation camps, health camps, and screening camps by the Health Department were also finalized with the objective of strengthening healthcare services during the fortnight.
Regarding plantation drives, Forest Department and Social Forestry Benehama were directed to ensure the availability of sufficient saplings for concerned departments as per requirement.
DC further finalized events to be held at Manasbal, while the CEO Sonamarg Development Authority was tasked to organize similar activities at Sonamarg and Zero Point in collaboration with stakeholders.
To promote digital inclusion, District Coordinator CSC was instructed to coordinate with educational institutions for mega capacity-building and digital literacy camps.
Kishore also laid special emphasis on extensive awareness campaigns covering flagship programmes such as Nasha Mukt Abhiyaan, disaster management, sports activities, and government welfare schemes including PMJJBY, APY, PMJDY, and PMSBY, among others.
All departments were directed to share photographs and videos of their respective activities on a daily basis for uploading on the designated web portal.

Pulwama set to organize series of events to celebrate Sewa Parv
Fortnight-long celebrations to promote compassion, responsibility & collective progress through a multi-departmental initiative
District administration Pulwama is all set to celebrate Sewa Parv from September 17 to October 2, 2025, with a series of programmes aimed at promoting service, compassion, and collective responsibility across the district.
The fortnight-long celebration will witness active participation from multiple departments, with the objective of inspiring citizens to contribute towards building a society rooted in harmony, responsibility, and social progress.
The Sewa Parv will be inaugurated on September 17, 2025, at Circuit House Pulwama. The inaugural event will mark the beginning of a diverse range of activities, including plantation drives, blood donation camps, cleanliness drives, distribution campaigns, and departmental stalls with help desks to engage communities and encourage collective participation.
As part of the celebrations, Health and ICDS department, under the Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan, will organise women’s health screening camps, maternal and child care awareness sessions, and free health camps at Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, PHCs, CHCs, and district hospital in convergence with Poshan Mah, along with blood donation camps. Nutrition and sanitation awareness campaigns will also form a significant part of the health-related programmes.
Rural Development and Panchayati Raj department will undertake community sanitation drives, plantation initiatives, cleanliness campaigns, and village-level outreach programmes to promote the effective implementation of welfare schemes. Education department will engage students through debates, essay writing, seminars, and awareness activities, including swachhata initiatives, to inculcate the spirit of service among young minds.
Social Welfare department will focus on programmes for the elderly, differently-abled, and vulnerable sections of society, while also raising awareness about social security schemes. Similarly, the Agriculture and Allied departments will organise awareness camps on government schemes, farmer outreach programmes, and training sessions to support rural livelihoods. Additionally, special camps for skill development and digital literacy will also be conducted to empower citizens and foster community development.
