DC approves 1639 HADP and 215 JKCIP cases after thorough review
Baramulla : Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Minga Sherpa, Wednesday chaired a meeting of the District Level Committee (DLC) at his office chamber to review the implementation of the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP) and Jammu & Kashmir Credit Incentive Programme (JKCIP) in the district.
The meeting was attended by the Chief Planning officer, Chief Agriculture Officer, Chief Horticulture Officer, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, District Sheep Husbandry Officer, District Lead Bank Manager Baramulla and other concerned officers.
During the meeting, DC was provided a detailed overview of the progress achieved under HADP and JKCIP in the current financial year 2025-26 in the district.
The review covered the status of farmer registration and enrollment through the Daksh Kisan Portal, completion of training courses under the Daksh Kisan initiative, tracking of established units, fund utilization and farm enrollments under Kisan Khidmat Ghars. Progress on the Kissan Sampark Abhiyan and the distribution of Kissan Smart Cards under HADP was also discussed.
DC stressed the importance of timely execution of activities under these flagship programmes, noting that they play a pivotal role in transforming the agriculture and allied sectors in Baramulla.
During the meeting, various applications were brought before the DLC for approval under the HADP and JKCIP scheme. After thoroughly reviewing the cases, DC gave approval to 1639 HADP and 215 JKCIP cases, thereby empowering the farming community and promoting sustainable agricultural practices in the district.
Furthermore, Minga Sherpa directed all concerned officers to expedite the clearance of pending cases and ensure that all proposals requiring approval of the DLC are processed without unnecessary delay.
Meanwhile, DC called upon all officers to work in close coordination and adopt a proactive approach to achieve saturation under the various components of HADP and JKCIP.
