Srinagar: The streets of Kashmir witnessed vibrant Eid-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) rallies on Saturday, uniting people of all ages in a display of devotion. From bustling markets in Srinagar to serene villages in North and South Kashmir, processions filled the area, symbolizing faith, love, and unity.

Witnesses said that children played a central role in the celebrations, donning green headbands and sporting painted Islamic flags, embodying a spirit of joy that resonated with adults. In Alamgari Bazar, Srinagar, the atmosphere was lively, with flags adorning rooftops and the scent of rose water permeating the air.

A father shared the pride of his son, who enthusiastically participated in the festivities, highlighting the sense of belonging fostered by the event. Similar scenes unfolded across various districts, where the usually quiet evenings were filled with the sounds of praise for the Prophet (SAW).

Homes and mosques were festively decorated, and local shops contributed by offering free sweets and bread to the community. An elderly participant reflected on the enduring nature of this love and devotion, emphasizing the significance of children leading the celebrations. The processions served not only as spiritual observances but also as social gatherings, fostering connections among neighbors and inviting participation from passersby. Local volunteers played a crucial role in managing the events, ensuring a harmonious blend of service and faith throughout the celebrations.
