NEW DELHI – The National Democratic Alliance’s (NDA) Vice Presidential nominee, Thiru CP Radhakrishnan, met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi today. This meeting follows the announcement of his nomination by the BJP-led alliance for the upcoming Vice Presidential election.
Following the meeting, Prime Minister Modi shared his well wishes for Radhakrishnan in a post on X (formerly Twitter). He praised the nominee’s long-standing public service and extensive experience.
“Met Thiru CP Radhakrishnan Ji. Conveyed my best wishes on his being the NDA’s Vice Presidential nominee. His long years of public service and experience across domains will greatly enrich our nation. May he continue to serve the nation with the same dedication and resolve he has always demonstrated,” Modi wrote.
CP Radhakrishnan, who currently serves as the Governor of Maharashtra, is a veteran BJP leader with a distinguished career that includes serving as a two-time Member of Parliament from Coimbatore and as the former Tamil Nadu state president of the BJP. His nomination comes after the resignation of former Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar. (ATP)
