DC, Mission Director JJM conduct comprehensive review of Jal Jeevan Mission Works in Ganderbal District

GANDERBAL: Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Jatin Kishore, along with Mission Director, Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM), J&K UT, Khursheed Ahmad Shah, today chaired a comprehensive review meeting to assess the progress of JJM works in the district.
The meeting held in the Conference Hall of the Mini Secretariat Ganderbal, the Executive Engineer, Jal Shakti Division Ganderbal, briefed the chair on the current status and progress of JJM works across the district.
The Deputy Commissioner in his address, enjoined upon the officers to make concerted efforts for removing bottlenecks of all ongoing works within the stipulated time frame. He highlighted the efforts of the District Administration in resolving various issues arising during the execution of JJM works and impressed upon the officers that any pending land related or other administrative issues must be promptly brought to the attention of District Administration for quick resolution in coordination with the concerned departments.
The MD fixed timelines for execution of different works and directed the concerned officers to prioritize the commissioning of schemes which have achieved significant progress.
The meeting was informed that maximum house holds have been provided with Functional Household Tap Connections (FHTCs) in the district.
The DC enjoined upon officers to give a renewed push to enhance pace of providing remaining Functional House Hold Tap Connections (FHTCs) in the district.
The officers also reviewed the schemes being executed through District Capex, Nabard, National Rural Drinking Water Program (NRDWP), Jammu & Kashmir Infrastructure Development Finance Corporation (JKIDFC), uploading of project data on the Gati Shakti Portal, and updates on water quality testing and monitoring mechanisms.
The Meeting was attended by Superintendent Engineer Hydraulic Circle Srinagar/ Ganderbal, Executive Engineer Jal Shakti Rural Water Supply Division, Ganderbal, officers of Line departments and other concerned officers.
