Instructs officers of all line departments to personally monitor flagship schemes, make dedicated efforts to resolve pending cases

Ganderbal: A meeting of the District Level Review Committee and the District Consultative Committee (DLRC/DCC) was held Friday here under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Jatin Kishore to review the performance of banks and line departments for the quarter ending September 2025, and to assess the progress under the Annual Credit Plan (ACP).
At the outset, Lead District Manager, Ganderbal, presented a comprehensive report detailing the bank-wise performance in various key areas, including deposits, advances, and Credit Deposit Ratio (CDR). Credit Deposit Ratio of the banks stood at 94.85%.
The DC emphasized the need for banks to increase credit flow to the agriculture sector to meet the requirements of farmers. He directed banks to improve their credit dispensation strategies and ensure that the agricultural sector receives adequate financial support.
He also directed the banks and line departments to quickly dispose-off the pending cases under various schemes such as HADP, PMFME, PM Surya Ghar, Mission YUVA etc.
Further, Agriculture & allied departments along with banks were directed to ensure 100% saturation of PM Kisan beneficiaries under the Kisan Credit Card (KCC) Scheme.
Emphasizing the importance of outreach, the DC stressed that awareness about various government schemes must be integrated into regular departmental programmes, ensuring active participation of officials from the concerned departments.
The performance under various Social Security Schemes (SSS), including Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY), Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), Pradhan Mantri Jhan Dhan Yojna (PMJDY)and Atal Pension Yojana (APY), was also reviewed. In this regard, banks and line departments were directed to work together to ensure 100% coverage of eligible beneficiaries under these welfare schemes.
Furthermore, the DC emphasized the importance of collaboration between banks and sponsoring agencies in guiding unemployed youth towards livelihood opportunities. Banks were urged to process cases swiftly and support youth in gaining financial independence.
Reiterating accountability, the DC instructed officers of all line departments to personally monitor flagship schemes and make dedicated efforts to resolve issues related to pending cases to ensure their timely disposal.
Additionally, the DC directed the Lead District Manager to establish helplines to facilitate grievance redressal and ensure that beneficiaries can easily reach out for resolution of issues they face with banks.
The meeting was a significant step towards fostering cooperation between banks, government departments, and various stakeholders to address the challenges and improve the overall financial and developmental landscape in District Ganderbal.
The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner, Manzoor Ahmad; senior officials from the district administration, RBI, NABARD, representatives from various banks, and line departments.
