Jammu : Managing Director Jammu and Kashmir Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Backward Classes Development Corporation, Ranjeet Singh Friday reviewed the working of the District Offices of the Corporation.
The Managing Director inquired about the implementation of schemes and their impact on the socio-economic condition of the target groups. He sought details about the success rate of ventures started by the youth with financial support from the Corporation. He took a serious note of the low recovery of overdue amount in comparison to current overdue. Recovery is the lifeline of the Corporation, he said and asked the district officers to clear the backlog by the end of current FY (2025-26).
He further expressed concern over the fewer number of cases sponsored in the current year against the set target. He asked heads of each division to achieve the same by the end of the financial year.
The MD asked for holding awareness camps at regular intervals to educate the targeted groups about the schemes of the Corporation.
The meeting was attended by other senior officers of the Corporation besides district officers.
