KULGAM: As part of Good Governance Week 2025 and under the Sushasan Sapta initiative, the “Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore” campaign commenced across District Kulgam with the objective of taking governance to the doorsteps of the people.

Grievance redressal camps were organised at block, tehsil and panchayat levels, where district and sectoral officers listened to public grievances and ensured their prompt redressal. The camps witnessed active participation from the public, who raised issues related to various departments.

The Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan, also visited several areas of the district, interacted with the people and personally listened tor their demands and concerns, directing the concerned officers for timely resolution.

During the day, domicile, income and other essential certificates were distributed to eligible beneficiaries. Awareness and registration camps were also held to educate citizens about various government schemes and facilitate on-the-spot registrations.

The initiative aims to strengthen transparency, accountability and citizen-centric governance by ensuring effective delivery of public services at the grassroots level.
