Reasi: An Awareness Programme under the Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) and the Jammu & Kashmir Rural Employment Generation Programme (JKREGP) was successfully organized by the Khadi & Village Industries Board (KVIB) Reasi at ITI College, Geeta Nagar, District Reasi.
The event witnessed an impressive turnout, including a significant number of enthusiastic youth, who participated to gain insights into self-employment opportunities and government-supported entrepreneurship schemes.
During the programme, the public was informed about the wide range of benefits available under PMEGP and JKREGP, particularly the provision of easy loan facilities through recognized financial institutions to promote self-employment and the establishment of new business ventures.
Narayan Dass, I/C District Officer, KVIB Reasi, while addressing the gathering, highlighted that individuals can establish new units in the manufacturing, service, and trading sectors under these schemes in a subsidized and technically supportive environment. He further educated the participants about the procedures, documentation, and formalities required for registration and online application submission under PMEGP and JKREGP.
The programme was graced by the presence of distinguished guests, including LDM Reasi Raman Bhagat, Director RSETI Manish Sharma, Superintendent ITI Rajesh Banotra, along with branch heads of various financial institutions, who encouraged the participants to take advantage of these government initiatives aimed at fostering entrepreneurship and economic growth in the region.
The event concluded with an interactive session, allowing participants to clarify doubts and receive guidance regarding the schemes and the financial support available for starting their ventures.
