GCOE Jammu, CUJ host National workshop on “Panchpadi Approach”

Jammu: The Government College of Education, Jammu and School of Teacher Education, Cluster University of Jammu jointly organized a one day National Workshop on “Panchpadi Approach in the Light of NEP 2020 and NCF 2023: Towards Holistic and Experiential Learning.”

The workshop was aimed to provide practical exposure and training to the teacher educators, school teachers and student-teachers in implementing the Panchpadi Approach within the pedagogical framework of NEP 2020 and NCF 2023.

Additional Chief Secretary Higher Education, Shantmanu, was the chief guest on the occasion.

In his address, the ACS motivated the students to work hard and give their best in whichever field they want to achieve success. He said, “We should do our karma without “kamna”, when we adopt a spiritual attitude towards our karma it becomes a joyful deed rather than a burden.” He exhorted upon the academicians to promote IKS through such workshops and seminars and give their best to make Bharat a Vishwaguru again.

During the workshop, a MoU was exchanged between Dr Jyoti Parihar, Principal GCOE Jammu and Dr Sindhu Kapoor, Joint Director JKSCERT, in presence of Additional Chief Secretary.

The ACS also released a college Newsletter during the workshop.

The program was convened by Dr Jyoti Parihar, Principal GCOE Jammu and Dr Zubair Kales, Dean, School of Teacher education Cluster University of Jammu.

The program was attended by a galaxy of intellectuals, administrators, policy makers, University Professors, college faculty members, scholars and students while the participants from Nagaland, Orissa, Bhuwaneshwar, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Uttarakhand and UP joined the workshop virtually.

Dr J N Baliya from Central University of Jammu was the key resource person while Dr Subahsh Mishra, (B R Ambedkar University Lucknow) Dr Varun Sharma and Dr Pardeep Singh conducted various sessions.

Professor Madhusudan, from University of Hyderabad, also conducted a session through online mode.

Prominent high officials from Cluster University of Jammu, Ankur Mahajan, Registrar, Dr Twinkle Suri, DAA and Dr Ranvijay Singh Controller Examination besides Director Finance, Abdul Majid Bhat, Nodal officer Jammu Division Colleges, Dr Ravindra Tickoo and were present on the occasion.

RG Dogra, Principal DIET, chaired the first technical session.

Dr Shalini Rana, IQAC Convener conducted the proceedings of the workshop while Dr Rakesh Bharti presented the rationale of the workshop.
