KULGAM: Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan today distributed sanction Letters to eligible beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana–Urban (PMAY-U) 2.0, BLC category, within the jurisdiction of Municipal Council Kulgam, Municipal Commitees Devsar & Yaripora.
The DC encouraged the beneficiaries to start construction work without delay and assured all necessary support from the district administration.
These beneficiaries were proposed by the District Level Monitoring Committee (DLMC) and subsequently approved by the Central Sanctioning and Monitoring Committee (CS&MC).
As per the scheme’s guidelines, each beneficiary is given a sanction for the construction of a dwelling unit with a maximum carpet area of 45 square meters.
The construction is to be completed in three phases viz. Plinth level, Lintel level, and Roof/Completion, and must be finalized within one year from the receipt of the sanction letter.
The scheme provides financial support to beneficiaries in three installments based on the progress of construction. The total amount sanctioned for each beneficiary is Rs. 2.5 lakh, which is disbursed progressively as the construction advances through each phase.
