MLA Devsar urges youth to avail PMEGP, JKREGP schemes
Kulgam: An awareness camp was Monday organised by the KVIB Kulgam at Waltango, Kulgam, with MLA Devsar, Peerzada Ferooz Ahmad Shah, attending as the Chief Guest.
In his address, the MLA urged people to avail the benefits of PMEGP and JKREGP schemes to establish sustainable livelihood opportunities. He encouraged the youth, in particular, to set up their own income-generating units under these schemes. He further stressed the need to conduct such awareness camps in far-flung areas, especially in the Lammer region and Qaimoh blocks, to ensure wider public awareness.
The District Officer, KVIB Kulgam Nighat Ara, also briefed and motivated participants to take advantage of various schemes being implemented by the Board. She highlighted the achievements of KVIB Kulgam over the last two years in Devsar and other areas.
