Kupwara: The celebration of 150 years of National Pride, “Vande Mataram”, was observed with great enthusiasm at the premises of sub division Handwara.

The event saw active participation from students of different schools, who showcased their talent through a Quiz Competition and Patriotic Cultural Programmes, adding vibrancy and energy to the celebration.

Speaking on the occasion, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Handwara, Javed Naseem Masoodi, highlighted the significance of the day and the enduring spirit of patriotism that the song “Vande Mataram” instills in every Indian.

The programme was attended by ASP Handwara,Tehsildar Handwara, Executive Engineer R&B division Handwara, Zonal Education officer Handwara, besides officers from all line departments of the division level, reflecting a strong sense of community involvement and support for the celebration.

As part of the event, certificates of appreciation were distributed among students and other participants to recognize their efforts and contribution to making the celebration a success.

The celebration concluded on a high note, reinforcing the values of national pride, unity, and love for the motherland among the young generation.
