Jammu : The Research and Development Cell of Government College of Education (GCOE) Jammu on Tuesday organized a one-day workshop on “Application of Psychological Tools in Research Methodology” under the patronage of the Principal Dr. Jyoti Parihar.
The workshop was conducted with the objective to acquaint faculty members, research scholars and students with the scientific application of psychological tools in research design and data analysis.
In her remarks, the Principal lauded the Research and Development Cell for organizing such a meaningful and academically enriching workshop.
Earlier, Convenor Research and Development Cell, Dr. Sushma Bala welcomed the participants and introduced the theme of the workshop, emphasizing the importance of sound research methodology in the social sciences.
Resource person, Dr. Ambica Kumari, Head of the Department of Psychology, conducted an insightful session focusing on the significance of psychological tools such as aptitude tests, attitude scales, personality inventories and achievement measures. She explained their practical use, reliability, validity and ethical considerations in research.
The workshop saw active participation from faculty members and students, who appreciated the interactive and practical approach of the session. Dr. Rajinder Kour, B.Ed&M.Ed Coordinator, Prof. Ramzan Ali, Dr. Davinder Kour showed their valuable experiences for the success of the event.
