The initiatives aimed to enhance voter awareness, promote ethical voting, and encourage greater participation in the upcoming electoral process.

The day-long programmes included Nukad Nataks (street plays), voter awareness rallies, distribution of informative pamphlets, and the installation of hoardings and banners carrying key messages on the importance of voting. Students, teachers, and local residents participated enthusiastically, pledging to cast their votes responsibly and motivate others to do the same.

Through engaging performances and interactive sessions, participants were sensitized about the power of the vote, the importance of informed and ethical participation, and the role of each citizen in strengthening democracy.

On the occasion, officials from the District Administration emphasized that such outreach initiatives are essential for bridging voter awareness gaps and ensuring inclusive participation across all areas of Budgam. They reiterated the commitment of the administration to make the electoral process accessible, transparent, and participatory.

The programme witnessed active coordination between the Education Department, Electoral staff, and local institutions, reflecting the collaborative spirit of the SVEEP mission to build a vibrant and informed electorate in Budgam.
