Speaking on the occasion, SHO Hajin, emphasised the crucial role of law enforcement. “Drug peddlers destroy generations; society must stand united to isolate and report them,” he said, urging community vigilance.

Principal GHSS Hajin, added, “Schools are not just centres of learning but the first line of defence against social evils like substance abuse.”

Medical Officer, District Drug De-Addiction & Rehabilitation Centre Bandipora, sensitised students on medical complications associated with addiction. She cautioned, “Drugs attack both the mind and body silently; early help is the key to full recovery.”

Outreach Worker, DDAC Bandipora, detailed the support systems available across the district. “Treatment, counselling, and rehabilitation are accessible, no one struggling should hesitate to seek assistance,” he noted.

On the occasion, the speakers urged youngsters to become ambassadors of positive change and spread awareness within their peers, neighbourhoods, and families. Participants took a pledge to uphold a drug-free environment in schools and communities.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation of students, teaching and non-teaching staff, and officials from various departments.
