Jammu: union Minister Kiren Rijiju today said that the destiny of Jammu and Kashmir changed after abrogation of Article 370.
“Abrogation of Article 370 changed the destiny of Jammu and Kashmir under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership and paved way for peace and progress,” Rijiju, who attended a Rozgar Mela event and handed over job letters to youth at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University in Kakrayal at Katra, told reporters.
Rozgar Mela was organised as a nationwide programme chaired by the Prime Minister.
He asserted that Jammu and Kashmir is marching on the path of development and harmony, adding, “after the removal of Article 370, a lot of work has been done in Jammu and Kashmir.”
Rijiju however, congratulated all the newly recruited appointees under various central govt organizations.
“I want to tell the youth not to consider this merely a job, but to see it as a responsibility to serve the country,” Rijiju said.
Rajya Sabha Member, Gulam Ali Khatana was also present on the occasion.
PM Modi distributed over 51,000 appointment letters under Rozgar Mela across India.
