SRINAGAR: In line with its commitment to people’s welfare including healthcare support under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), J&K Bank provided a state-of-the-art Critical Care Ambulance to Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), Srinagar.
The fully-equipped ambulance – designed to cater to patients in emergency and life-threatening situations – was handed over during a government function held at S. K. International Convention Centre (SKICC).
On behalf of the Bank, Chief General Manager Operations, Imtiyaz Ahmad Bhat presented the symbolic key of the vehicle to Director SKIMS, Dr. Mohammad Ashraf Ganai in presence of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, Bank’s General Manager & Divisional Head Kashmir Arshad Qadri, General Manager Mohammad Muzaffar Wani, HoD Hospital Management (SKIMS) Dr G H Yatoo and other senior officials of the Bank and SKIMS.
Speaking on the occasion, CGM Imtiyaz Ahmad Bhat said, “As a responsible financial institution, J&K Bank remains steadfast in its resolve to contribute meaningfully towards improving public healthcare infrastructure across the region. This critical care ambulance is yet another step towards supplementing the Government efforts in ensuring that life-saving medical facilities are available to people when they need them the most. Through such initiatives, we aim to make a tangible difference in people’s lives.”
The initiative underscores the Bank’s larger vision of extending its support beyond banking by addressing crucial social needs such as healthcare, education and community development under its CSR program.
