BANDIPORA: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Indu Kanwal Chib, today visited Zalwan area of Bandipora to review the issues related to waste management issues in the area.
During the visit, the DC interacted with officers of the Municipal Council Bandipora, Tehsildar Bandipora, officials from the Social Forestry Department, Pollution Control Committee, and local residents. The discussions focused on addressing community concerns and ensuring scientific and sustainable management of solid waste in the area.
The DC assured the locals that their genuine issues will be addressed in a time-bound manner. She emphasized the need for coordinated efforts among all line departments and highlighted the importance of community participation in devising long-term, sustainable solutions for effective waste management and environmental protection.
