Srinagar : Police on Thursday said that it has arrested an absconder in Sopore who was evading his arrest since 2012.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar police said that a police party in Sopore have arrested an absconder, namely Nayeem Ahmad War S/o Nazir Ahmad War R/o Warpora Sopore, who had been evading arrest for over 12 years and is most wanted in connection with a case FIR No. 190 filed in 2012 under sections 454 and 380 of the RPC at Police Station Sopore, adding therein that an arrest warrant had been issued by the District Court Sopore against him.
In the concluding para of its above quoted statement Police said that it has produced the accused before the district Court and is lodged in judicial custody until February 25, 2025.
