New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today addressed the centenary celebrations of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) at the Dr. Ambedkar International Centre, where he unveiled a sweeping vision for a ‘Developed India by 2047’ and lauded the RSS for creating a concrete roadmap to tackle modern-day challenges.
On the auspicious occasion of Maha Navami, the Prime Minister extended greetings for Navratri and the upcoming festival of Vijayadashami, noting that the founding of the RSS a century ago was a manifestation of India’s eternal national consciousness. He affirmed the Sangh as a “virtuous incarnation” of this spirit.
Highlighting that the challenges facing India have evolved as it moves towards becoming a developed nation and the world’s third-largest economy, Shri Modi stressed that the RSS has not only identified these issues but has also formulated a robust plan to confront them.
The Prime Minister explicitly identified key challenges: Economic dependence on other nations. Conspiracies to disrupt national unity. Demographic manipulation and infiltration.
To combat these, he detailed the RSS’s five transformative resolutions, which he termed essential pillars for building a developed India by 2047:
Self-Awareness: Liberation from a servitude mindset, taking pride in heritage and native language, and embracing the principle of Swadeshi. The PM called for making the ‘Vocal for Local’ campaign a resounding success, asserting that self-reliance is a necessity.
Social Harmony: Establishing social justice by prioritizing the marginalized and strengthening national unity against divisive forces like separatist ideologies, regionalism, and disputes over caste and language. The PM specifically addressed the “grave challenge” posed by demographic manipulation and infiltration, recalling his announcement of the Demography Mission from the Red Fort.
Family Enlightenment: Nurturing family culture based on Indian values, respecting elders, empowering women, and instilling values in the youth.
Civic Discipline: Cultivating a strong sense of duty, promoting cleanliness, respecting national assets, and upholding laws and regulations, in line with the constitutional ethos.
Environmental Consciousness: Focusing on both economy and ecology, with vital campaigns on water conservation, green energy, and clean energy for the future of humanity.
Shri Modi proclaimed that these five resolutions will serve as foundational pillars to enhance the nation’s strength and guide the country towards the ‘Developed India by 2047’ vision—a glorious nation shaped by philosophy and science, service, and social harmony.
