Startup Bootcamp organized at College of Temperate Sericulture SKUAST-K

SRINAGAR: College of Temperate Sericulture, SKUAST-Kashmir hosted a Startup Bootcamp as part of the Startup Idea Challenge 2025, jointly organized by the SKIIE Centre, SKUAST-Kashmir in collaboration with JKEDI.
The event was held under the guidance of the Associate Dean, Prof K.A.Sahaf, who was also the chief guest on the occasion.
Bootcamp aimed to foster innovation and entrepreneurship among students by encouraging them to generate, refine, and pitch their startup ideas.
Associate Dean, in his address, emphasized the importance of startups in transforming the socio-economic landscape of Jammu & Kashmir, particularly in agriculture, sericulture, and allied sectors.
Resource persons, Dr. Abdul Rauf from SKIIE Centre, SKUAST-K, Dr. Rauf Ahmad Rather and Dr. Shazia from JKEDI delivered sessions on entrepreneurship, idea pitching, and the startup ecosystem, highlighting the role of incubation and funding support.
Bootcamp witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty through interactive activities, brainstorming, and idea presentations.
The event concluded with an interactive session.
